Public invited to join Customer Liaison Groups

Members of the public can share their views on leisure services by joining one of the new Customer Liaison Groups set up by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

The groups, initiated in 2000, aim to gauge public opinion to enhance the quality of the department's leisure services.

Over the past three years the groups have proved to be an effective communication channel with the public.

The department thanked past members for their support and their valuable comments, adding that it had taken prompt follow-up action to address their needs.

New Customer Liaison Group meetings will be held at 18 leisure venues throughout Hong Kong starting from October, with enrolment starting on September 3.

Those who wish to join the new groups can download an application form from the department's website at www.lcsd.gov.hk/forms/clg.html. They can also obtain application forms from the 18 designated venues or the respective District Leisure Service Offices.

The completed application forms should be returned to the district offices or venues on or before the deadline of recruitment of the respective groups. Application forms can also be returned by e-mail.

The designated venues are: on Hong Kong Island - Harbour Road Sports Centre, Sheung Wan Sports Centre, Quarry Bay Park and Aberdeen Sports Centre; in Kowloon - Kowloon Park Sports Centre, Cornwall Street Park, Ho Man Tin Sports Centre, Hiu Kwong Street Sports Centre and Children Activities Centre in Choi Hung Road Playground; and in the New Territories - Ma On Shan Swimming Pool, Tsing Yi Swimming Pool, Tseung Kwan O Sports Centre, North District Sports Ground, Tai Po Sports Centre, Shing Mun Valley Sports Centre, Mui Wo Sports Centre, Yuen Long Stadium and Tuen Mun Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground.

All meetings will be held on a Saturday between mid-October to late December this year at the above venues, except the meeting at Ma On Shan Swimming Pool in Sha Tin, which is scheduled for Monday, November 3.
