28,000 to watch Real Madrid train

*********************************

Some 28,000 fans will have the chance to watch Real Madrid's training session at Hong Kong Stadium tomorrow morning (August 7).

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said it had extended the size of the audience from 12,000 to 28,000 so that more participants from summer youth football teams could see the star-studded team.

Clients of the Social Welfare Department such as SARS victims, youth, disabled and the elderly will also be among the audience.

About 22,000 tickets have been allocated to the football trainees by drawing lots; the rest of the tickets have been distributed to the sponsors and clients of the Social Welfare Department etc.

The training session will start at 10 am tomorrow and all ticket holders are reminded to arrive early.

Admission to the stadium will start at 7.30 am and ticket holders are advised to use public transport to get to the stadium.

All tickets are non-transferable and not for sale. Both the police and stadium staff will check ticket holders before they are admitted to the stadium.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department stressed that the training session had been arranged for a target audience and was not open to the public. Those without tickets would not be admitted.
