Real Madrid tickets sold out in orderly manner


All tickets of the Real Madrid football match for public sale were sold out this (August 1) morning in an orderly manner.

The sale of tickets was completed at 2.55 am this morning. The tickets were first sold to the senior citizens and disabled and then to the members of the public.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced that the Mongkok Stadium would be opened on August 8 to admit 9,000 spectators to view the match live via huge TV broadcast.

Tickets will be distributed by drawing lots. No queuing is necessary. Details will be announced shortly.

Arrangement will also be made for about 10,000 audience to view a training session of Real Madrid held on August 7 in the Hong Kong Stadium.

The attendants will include participants to the children and youth football training schemes, clients of the Social Welfare Department (SWD), such as SARS victims, night drifters, youths outreached by SWD and the disabled.

Entry tickets will be distributed through SWD and LCSD and no queuing for tickets is necessary.
