Two additional performances for comedy concert 'Baron Rabinovitsj'

Two additional performances of "Familieconcert Baron Rabinovitsj" will be held at 3pm on August 23 and 24 at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre, due to overwhelming audience response.

The programme is part of the summer festival International Arts Carnival.

"Familieconcert Baron Rabinovitsj" by the youth theatre company Het Filiaal has been acclaimed by the De Telegraaf (Netherlands) as "...a theatrical family concert, a welcome addition to the youth-theatre landscape."

The Het Utrechts Nieuwsblad (Netherlands) said: "The audience enjoy themselves tremendously with this theatrical family concert".

Under a glittering chandelier and the baton of the great Baron Rabinovitsj, who is also the composer of the Het Filiaal, seven fleet-footed musicians bring the audience sweet classical and jazz music filled with laughter and fun. Baron Rabinovitsj will show you the power of music and its ability to say what is in your heart.

Het Filiaal was founded in 1994 by Artistic Director Monique Corvers.

According to the advisory board of the Ministry of Culture of the Netherlands: "Het Filiaal has, in an extremely short period of time, gained its rightful place within Dutch youth theatre. The company is one of the youth theatre companies that succeed in integrating theatre and music...This results in remarkable performances of exceptionally high quality."

Het Filiaal creates various forms of music theatre for family audiences and provides educational projects for elementary schools. International tours have taken it to Germany, France and the United States.

Including the two additional performances, "Familieconcert Baron Rabinovitsj" will be presented at 7.30pm on August 22-24 and at 3pm on August 23-24 at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre.
