Additional performance for Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater

********************************************************

An additional performance of the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co will be held at 3pm on August 16 at the Shatin Town Hall Auditorium due to overwhelming demand.

The programme is part of the summer festival International Arts Carnival.

The Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co has been acclaimed by The New York Times as "...skillful...joyful...buoyant entertainment".

It is "...like watching a live-action cartoon and occasionally being permitted to get in on the routine when those blobs float over the audience..." said The New York Times.

Fred Garbo, from Maine, US, and Daielma Santos from Sao Paulo, Brazil, blend their own traditions of wild physical comedy, dance, and juggling with inflatable props. Expect to see colourful parachute silk in the shape of cubes, cylinders and wheels.

Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co has toured worldwide with a programme that transcends barriers of language, culture and age. Its return visit to Hong Kong will be welcomed by families this summer.

Including the additional show, the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co will perform at 3pm and 7.30pm on August 16 at the Shatin Town Hall Auditorium; and 7.30pm on August 17 at the Yuen Long Theatre Auditorium.

Tickets for the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co, priced at $100, $140 and $180, are available at URBTIX outlets. The programme is part of the Arts Care ticket discount scheme. Patrons can enjoy a 20% discount for each purchase of four to seven tickets and a 40% discount for each purchase of eight or more tickets.

The following discounts also apply:

- 50% discount for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients.

- 10% discount for Friends of Leisure and Cultural Services Department performing venues (maximum two full-price tickets for any performances).
