LCSD offers special treats to museum-goers in July and August

This summer, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will treat the public to a feast of educational and entertaining exhibitions, all with the added incentive of an attractive "Arts Care" Museum Concessionary Scheme.

The "Arts Care" Museum Concessionary Scheme, an LCSD initiative that ties in with the Government's Relaunch Hong Kong campaign, consists of two programmes -- five Open Days during July and Buy-one-get-one-free.

On July 1, a public holiday, and on the four Sundays thereafter (July 6, 13, 20 and 27), the public is invited to visit six major museums with a wealth of exhibitions at no charge.

The six museums are the Hong Kong Museum of History, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum (except Space Theatre) and the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence.

Visitors will also enjoy the Buy-one-get-one-free programme when they visit the aforementioned museums in July and August. Anyone who buys an admission ticket will receive a complimentary admission coupon valid until September 30, 2003 at the same museums (except for the Space Theatre and special exhibitions with separate admission charges).
