First beach volleyball court built in urban area

The new beach volleyball court at Choi Hung Road Playground will be open for public use from Monday (June 16).

A spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department said the new court -- adjacent to the Choi Hung Road Sports Centre and Badminton Centre -- was the first beach volleyball court to be constructed in the urban area.

He said it was a convenient venue for urban residents to play beach volleyball.

The court will be open daily from 7am to 11pm. It will be closed every Monday from 7am to 1pm for maintenance. The public can use it free of charge.

To book the court, please apply in person at Wong Tai Sin District Leisure Services Office. All users should comply with the Pleasure Grounds Regulation as well as the general conditions for use of non-fee charging facilities and the specific conditions of use for beach volleyball courts.

For enquiries, call 2326 2517.
