Three beaches in Tuen Mun reopened

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 3) that the Golden Beach, the Cafeteria New Beach and the Cafeteria Old Beach in Tuen Mun had been reopened with lifeguard service operating from 9 am to 6 pm daily.

The re-opening followed the advice of the Environment Protection Department that these beaches are now suitable for swimming.

The Golden Beach, the Cafeteria New Beach and the Cafeteria Old Beach were closed temporarily on June 2, 2003 in view of the sighting of a minor oil spillage.
