Shaolin Temple martial monks to perform at QE Stadium

A troupe of martial monks from the Songshan Shaolin Temple of China will demonstrate their legendary combat skills at Queen Elizabeth Stadium on May 7, 8 and 10.

The demonstrations, organised by the Hong Kong Culture Association (HKCA), the Songshan Shaolin Temple of China and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) with assistance from the Hong Kong Wushu Union, form part of the "Quintessence of China - Shaolin Temple 1500-year Culture Show" to be presented by the Hong Kong Culture Association in early May.

The performing monks, the embodiment of awesome strength and mystique, will wield a variety of traditional weapons as well as engage in mock hand-to-hand combat.

The demonstrations on May 7 and May 10 will start at 7.30 pm and the one on May 8 at 3.30 pm. Free tickets will be available from tomorrow (April 16) at the LCSD's District Leisure Services Offices.
