Flower show photo competition to close soon

Participants in the Orchid Splendour Photo Competition of the Hong Kong Flower Show 2003 have only two weeks left to submit their entries.

All entries should be submitted by mail or in person to the Secretariat of the Hong Kong Flower Show 2003, 11/F, Leisure and Cultural Services Headquarters, 1-3 Pai Tau Street, Shatin, Hong Kong by 5pm on April 11.

The competition, jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and sponsored by Nikon Hong Kong Limited, is divided into three categories: Category A - Portrait of TVB Artistes and Miss Hong Kong; Category B - Flowers; and Category C - Snapshots.

Entries for Category A should be photos taken during the photographic session organised by TVB for artistes and Miss Hong Kong on March 6 at the showground in Victoria Park. Entries for Category B and C should be photos taken at the show from March 7 to 16 and related to the show. All entries must be 8R-size colour prints.

Winners in each category will be awarded prizes including cameras valued at over HK$50,000.

Judging will take place late next month (April) and winners will be notified by mail. Winning entries will be displayed in Kowloon Park in June and Hong Kong Park in July.
