"Jazz and Alternative Music" concert held today

Five performing groups presented Jazz, Rock, Blues, R & B, Rap and Hip Hop music this (March 2) afternoon in the "2003 Spring Arts Fair - Jazz & Alternative Music" concert, filling up Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC) Piazza with a lively atmosphere.

Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the concert attracted holiday crowds to enjoy its hot music and dance.

Led by Cary Abrams, band "Roadhouse" presented mesmerising Rock as well as Rap music. Another group "ABA and Company" played R & B music, one of the most popular music nowadays. Members of "ABA and Company" included guitarist Donald E. Taft, drummer M. Hassan Musfer, bass guitarist Ray Bon Corington, keyboard player Jondi Mac and Saxophone player Oliver Smith.

The Hip Hop music and dance performances by "Hong and Friends" and "Perceptive Sense" were equally attractive and won the applause of the audiences. Apart from the above, the "William Tang & Blue Wail" band brought us Blues and Jazz music, giving the concert a romantic touch.

End/Sunday, March 2, 2003
