"The World Magic Gala" shows marvelous magic at a Glance

A marvellous magic show "The World Magic Gala" will be staged in March by well-known magicians around the world!

Well-known magicians from Poland, USA, Canada, Japan, the Mainland and Hong Kong will display stunning skills to perform gorgeous magic programmes. Fancinating programmes include doves appearing from nowhere, animation true man show, flash mask changing, manipulation illusions, grand illusions and interactive magic,etc. Local musician and magician Harry Wong will host the show and lead you to a multicultural magical journey.

The Great Tomsoni & Co. from Poland presents "The Poland Magical Duo". This is Poland's well-known magical group, who is an illusion inventor, stage and close-up magician...

Sylvester the Jester from the U.S.A. presents "Back to Normal". Sylvester is a live magic human cartoon animator and was given the Golden Wand Award in Monte Carlo.

Shawn Farquhar from Canada presents "Magic of the Hands". He is a competent conjurer and was the only one awarded the championship of both close-up and stage magic in the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians.

Yumi from Japan presents "The Beauty of Floral". She is an elegant magic lady, and has won many awards in Japan and World Magic Contest organised by the Federation of International Magic Societies in 2000.

Li Lin from the Mainland presents "Oriental Mystery". Li, a magician of China National Acrobatic Troupe, is now a rising international magic star and has won the championship of All China Magic Contest and is also the first Chinese magician awarded the Golden Wand Award of Monte Carlo.

Simon & Vicky Magic Company of Hong Kong presents "The Illusion World". Simon Ma is one of the top magic illusionists in Hong Kong and now the vice president of the Magicians' Association of Hong Kong.

"The World Magic Gala" is one of the attractive programmes of the "Family Series" presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department in March and April. The magic show will be staged at 7.30pm on March 28 and 29 (Friday and Saturday), at the Theatre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre and at 3pm on March 30 (Sunday) at the Auditorium, North District Town Hall. Tickets priced at $130 and $90 are now available at all URBTIX outlets. Half-price concessions will be granted to senior citizens, people with disabilities, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (Discount tickets for students and CSSA recipients available on a first-come, first-served basis).
