The Sale of Donated Books Statistics on First Day

More than 78,000 books were sold and over 10,000 people participated at the first day of the Sale of Donated books at the Hong Kong Central Library Exhibition Gallery and the Sha Tin Town Hall Exhibition Gallery. All books are sold at $5 each but the actual amount donated is to be confirmed by the Community Chest of Hong Kong.

The Sale of Donated Books continues tomorrow (February 16) from 10 am to 6 pm. The organisers may apply crowd control measure in case there are too many participants.

The Book Donation & Sale Campaign is organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Home Affairs Department, 18 District Councils, the Community Chest of Hong Kong, Hongkong Post and the Agency for Volunteer Service.
