Application for Students' Study Room Admission Cards Starts


The Leisure and Cultural Services Department today (January 20) reminds that those who want to use the Students' Study Rooms during the examination period can apply for admission cards starting from tomorrow (January 21).

During the examination season from March 1 to May 31, the Hong Kong Public Libraries Students' Study Rooms will extend the opening hours to seven days a week on a three-session basis.

Application forms and regulation guide will be available tomorrow at all Hong Kong Public Libraries and can be downloaded from the website Applicants should be registered borrowers of the Hong Kong Public Libraries. Candidates sitting for major public examinations or professional examinations would be given priority to 95% of the seats. Applicants should also note that only one session of each phase will be available for application. Details of the sessions are as follows:

1st phase: March 1 to April 20 (Deadline for application is February 16 and the result will be announced during February 23 to 28)

2nd phase: April 21 to May 31 (Deadline for application is March 31 and the result will be announced during April 15 to 20)

Morning session: 8 am to 12.30 pm

Afternoon session: 12.45 pm to 5.15 pm

Evening session: 5.30 pm to 10 pm (5.30 pm to 9.30 pm for Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday)

Libraries facilitated with Students' Study Room include those at Shek Tong Tsui, Chai Wan, Quarry Bay, Aberdeen, Po Fu Lam, Lockhart Road, Kowloon, To Kwa Wan, Ngau Tau Kok, Shui Wo Street, Po On Road, Lai Chi Kok, Ngau Chi Wan, San Po Kong, Yau Ma Tei, Fa Yuen Street, Sha Tin, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, North Kwai Chung, South Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi, Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai, Fanling, Sheung Shui, Tai Po, Sai Kung, Tseung Kwan O and Cheung Chau Public Libraries.
