Flower show commercial stalls auctioned

     The auction of Hong Kong Flower Show 2009 commercial stalls was conducted smoothly today (December 3) at the Lockhart Road Sports Centre in Wan Chai. All 49 commercial stalls were successfully let at the auction, bringing in total revenue of $1,159,400.

     Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the 10-day Hong Kong Flower Show 2009 will be held from March 13 to 22 at Victoria Park. For the flower show, the commercial stalls for auction included 38 goods stalls, six fast food stalls, four dry food stalls and one book stall.

     Details of the auctions held today are as follows:

Goods stall (5m x 5m): 34
Upset price: $14,400
Bid prices: range from $14,400 to $38,700
Average price: $20,526

Goods stall (5m x 10m): 4
Upset price: $28,800
Bid prices: range from $28,800 to $40,000
Average price: $31,600

Fast food stall (5m x 10m): 5
Upset price: $19,200
Bid prices: range from $19,200 to $40,000
Average price: $23,400

Fast food stall with a subsidiary stall
(5m x 10m and 5m x 5m): 1
Upset price: $28,800
Bid price: $60,000

Dry food stall (5m x 5m): 4
Upset price: $9,600
Bid prices: range from $32,800 to $40,000
Average price: $36,600

Book stall (5m x 10m): 1
