The Yuen Long Theatre Fun Day "Spread the Love Christmas Market", jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Theatre Noir, the Yuen Long Theatre (YLT) Venue Partner, will be held on Saturday (December 22) from 2pm to 6pm at Yuen Long Theatre and the Theatre Avenue, with a variety of delightful and participatory free admission programmes and game stalls to share the joy of Christmas.

The venue partner, Theatre Noir, will hold a series of children's programmes at the YLT foyer, exhibition corner and rehearsal room including the "Love to HANDICRAFT" props making workshop, the "Love to ACT" drama workshop and the "Love to SING" singing workshop. Other family activities will include the "Love to TELL" storytelling workshop, the "Love to ACT 2GETHER" drama workshop, and the "Love to DANCE" dance workshop conducted by a tutor with hearing impairment.

Not to be missed are the outdoor youth and family activities in the Theatre Avenue including an orchestral performance by the Hong Kong Children's Symphonic Band and the New Territories Youth Symphonic Band, band music and hip hop and jazz dance by local NGOs, a rope skipping performance, a choral performance by the Yuen Long Children's Choir, an Asian ethnic cultural dance performance by minority groups and a puppet show. Participatory activities will include a handicraft DIY workshop, inflatable games and handicraft booths. In addition, there will be graffiti and print workshops and also art jamming for participants to experience pop art. Tutors will guide teenagers to create their own art pieces at the Fun Day.

All programmes will have free admission without tickets. Participants will also have a chance to win souvenirs at the Fun Day. Enquiries can be made on 2476 1029, and information is available at the Yuen Long Theatre website at www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/CulturalService/Yuenlong/pop-up2012-11.html .
