Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists Extravaganza tickets available tomorrow

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has reminded members of the public that the tickets for the Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists Extravaganza will be available for purchase at 43 URBTIX outlets from 10am tomorrow (August 16).

Subject to availability of the tickets after the first day of sales, Internet sales and telephone booking will commence on August 17.

A total of 26,500 Extravaganza tickets are available for purchase. Compared with the "Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists Sports Demonstrations", for which some 3,000 tickets were available, the Extravaganza will offer more tickets and each person can purchase a maximum of four tickets per transaction. In view of this, the LCSD has arranged for ticket sales to members of the public for the Extravaganza at 43 URBTIX outlets.

Since there are differences between the ticketing arrangements for the Extravaganza and Sports Demonstrations regarding the location of the sales outlets as well as the number of tickets that can be purchased in each transaction, ticket sales for the two events were arranged for separate dates to avoid causing confusion to the public or misleading people into going to the wrong place for buying tickets.

Ends/Wednesday, August 15, 2012
