Red flags hoisted at Stanley Main Beach and Silverstrand Beach

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (July 27) that the Environmental Protection Department has classified the water quality at Stanley Main Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island, and Silverstrand Beach in Sai Kung District as Grade 4, which means the beaches are not suitable for swimming. The red flags have been hoisted. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beaches until further notice.
