Additional shows of theatre for toddlers "White"
************************************************

The last two additional performances of the innovative drama "White" have been scheduled for July 16 and 17 in response to overwhelming public demand. Tickets will be available from June 6 (Wednesday) onwards at URBTIX.

Produced by Catherine Wheels Theatre Company from the UK, "White" is one of the programmes in the large-scale summer festival International Arts Carnival presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. Playful and highly visual, this show for very young children delves deep beneath its simple story.

Cotton and Wrinkle start their work in the beautifully strange world of White, full of birdsong and birdhouses. Their job is to keep the bright and ordered world clean and tidy while they wait for white eggs to appear. Suddenly one day colours magically emerge and start to change the world in a pleasantly surprising way. The production offers a perfect first-time theatre experience for toddlers.

Feted in Europe and the winner of numerous awards since its debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010, the engrossing set, outstanding performances and powerful storyline in "White" deftly hold the attention of the most easily distracted audiences.

Additional performances will be held at 2.30pm on July 16 and 17 at Kwai Tsing Theatre Black Box Theatre, with limited English dialogue. Tickets priced at $200 with free seating are offered.

Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and their minders, and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Booking discounts of up to 20 per cent are available for full-price performing arts/film programmes.

Programme brochures are available at URBTIX outlets or at the carnival website www.hkiac.gov.hk.

For programme enquiries, please call 2370 1044. Internet bookings can be made at www.urbtix.hk. Telephone credit card bookings can be made on 2111 5999.
