Tickets for Lam Kar-sing sharing session to be distributed tomorrow
Invited by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, renowned Cantonese opera artist Dr Lam Kar-sing will host a large-scale sharing session next month at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Those who are interested in attending "The Masterful Legacy of Lam Kar Sing - A Sharing Session on the Inheritance of Cantonese Opera" can join it with free-admission tickets that will be distributed starting at 9am tomorrow (February 22) at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Hong Kong City Hall. Each venue will distribute 400 tickets. Each person is entitled to a maximum of two tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
The sharing session will be held from 2.30pm to 5pm on March 10 at the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Dr Lam will discuss with his fans his stage career and his commitment to revitalising the art of Cantonese opera, as well as how he performed many masterpieces involving the application of his own performance theory, "Breadth, virtuosity, depth and innovation".
The sharing session is being organised in association with the "Virtuosity and Innovation: The Masterful Legacy of Lam Kar Sing" exhibition, currently being held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Featuring artefacts donated by Dr Lam including libretti, handbills, stills, records, costumes and audio and video clips, along with additional photos, the exhibition depicts Dr Lam's performing career over the decades. The exhibition will be held until May 14.
