Suspected red tide sighted at Silver Mine Bay Beach

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (November 12) that due to a suspected red tide sighting, red flag has been hoisted at  Silver Mine Bay Beach in Islands District. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.

     During the winter (November, 2011 to March, 2012), lifeguard services at the above beach are suspended.
