Free exhibition at Kowloon Park tomorrow to introduce tips for planting

     To arouse public interest in horticulture and to enhance awareness of greening, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will organise the horticulture education exhibition "Fun in Planting" tomorrow (October 29) and on Sunday (October 30) from 10am to 4pm at the Arcade of Kowloon Park. Admission is free.

     Descriptive display panels will enable members of the public to learn more about tips for planting, plant maintenance and plant propagation methods. They will also introduce some environmentally friendly ways to control pests and diseases.

     Fringe activities including games stalls and an eco-friendly horticulture workshop will be held during the exhibition at the Kowloon Park Arcade. Visitors can also share the fun of potting plants under the guidance of horticulture instructors.

     Talks in Cantonese entitled "Introduction of Flowering Plants and Demonstration on Combination of Plants" and "Introduction and Planting of Edible Plants" will be held at the Secondary Hall of Kowloon Park Sports Centre. Admission tickets are required.

     The programme schedule is as follows:

Kowloon Park Arcade (October 29 and 30)
Exhibition: 10am to 4pm
Games stalls: 10.30am to 3.30pm
Eco-friendly horticulture workshop:
10.30am to 3.30pm
Fun planting:
10.30am to 12.30pm, 2pm to 3.30pm
