Proposals invited for new round of Venue Partnership Scheme

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is inviting performing arts groups/organisations to submit proposals for a new round of the three-year Venue Partnership Scheme from April 2012 to March 2015. The deadline for submissions is 5.30pm on May 31, 2011 (Tuesday).

The first round of the Venue Partnership Scheme was implemented at LCSD's performing arts venues in April 2009 and will end in March 2012. The Scheme aims to foster a partnership between venues and performing arts groups/organisations with the objectives of enhancing the artistic image and character of the venue and its partner, enlarging the audience base, optimising usage of facilities, encouraging community involvement in the development of arts, and promoting arts in the community.

The new round of the Scheme will be implemented at 12 LCSD performing arts venues: the Hong Kong City Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, North District Town Hall, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Sha Tin Town Hall, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, Tuen Mun Town Hall, Yuen Long Theatre, as well as the Yau Ma Tei Xiqu Centre (tentative name) which is expected to commence operation in mid-2012.

For details, please refer to the Invitation for Proposals document available at all LCSD performing arts venues. It can also be downloaded from the LCSD website:

For enquiries, please call 2853 2688.

Ends/Thursday, March 31, 2011
