Community carnival to be held at Yat Tung Estate, Tung Chung, this Sunday

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will organise a Community Thematic Carnival, "The Colour of Islands II -- Home Sweet Home", at Lai Shuk Ying Memorial Square and Golden Ox Square in Yat Tung Estate, Tung Chung, this Sunday (December 5) from 2pm to 5pm. The carnival features performances and entertainments for families to enjoy and admission is free.

Staged at Lai Shuk Ying Memorial Square, the musical theatre "Home Sweet Home" combines drama, dance, music and puppets on the theme of family love. It is performed by local artists and residents of Tung Chung. Puppet show "Hairy the Little Macaque" tells the story of how Hairy and his father lovingly reconcile after a conflict. Other entertainments include classic songs sung by Chan Ho-tak and Cecilia Fong, dance performances, poetry reading and choral singing by local groups and schools.

At Golden Ox Square, participants can join in the fun of parent-child art workshops including face painting and sponge painting. There will also be participatory games and the ever-popular bouncer game for children to test their skills.
