Hong Kong Flower Show 2011 commercial stalls auctioned

     The auction of Hong Kong Flower Show 2011 commercial stalls was conducted smoothly today (December 1) at the Lockhart Road Sports Centre in Wan Chai. All 49 commercial stalls were successfully let at the auction, bringing in total revenue of $1,944,860.

     Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the 10-day Hong Kong Flower Show 2011 will be held from March 11 to 20, 2011, at Victoria Park. The 49 commercial stalls for auction included 38 goods stalls, six fast food stalls, four dry food stalls and one book stall.

     Details of the auction held today are as follows:
    
Goods stall (5 metres × 5 metres): 34
Upset price: $17,230
Bid prices: range from $17,230 to $36,000
Average price: $29,025

Goods stall (5 metres × 10 metres): 4
Upset price: $34,460
Bid prices: range from $38,000 to $58,000
Average price: $49,025

Fast food stall (5 metres × 10 metres): 4
Upset price: $22,980
Bid prices: range from $23,500 to $33,500
Average price: $27,250

Fast food stall with a subsidiary stall
(5 metres × 10 metres and 5 metres × 5 metres): 2
Upset price: $41,470
Bid prices: $ 45,000 and $75,000
Average price: $60,000

Dry food stall (5 metres × 5 metres): 4
