World congress on parks and recreation continues
The International Federation of Parks and Recreation Administration (IFPRA) World Congress Hong Kong 2010 entered its second day today (November 16). Mr Peter Harnik, Director, Centre for City Park Excellence, The Trust for Public Land (USA) is seen giving a keynote address on "Urban Green, USA: Close-to-Home Parks from Times Square to Hollywood".
The World Congress, jointly organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Hong Kong Recreation Management Association, is being held at Hong Kong City Hall from November 15 to 18. Professionals and experts from around the world have gathered to share and exchange their new ideas and latest research findings on the development of parks and recreational services. Congress activities range from keynote addresses, parallel sessions, poster viewing and trade exhibitions to visits to Hong Kong's famous parks and recreational facilities.
