Since its inception in 1998, the group has been engaged in a wide variety of cultural events, including concerts celebrating the 5th and 10th anniversaries of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2002 and 2007, and the performance at the reception celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 2009. The ensemble has also performed at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival, and arts festivals in Berlin, London, Korea and the Philippines.
