Flora Hon and Kelvin Lam show meaning of love in dance
Flora Hon and Kelvin Lam will stage Off The Ground's latest production "Eternity is…?" in April.
If LOVE has a time limit, would it be "forever"? And how many of the sweet commitments that lovers made have come true?
In the world of love, rules and logic may not exist. Perhaps there is merely destiny ¡Ð the feeling that can neither be escaped nor grasped. Patrons may have an answer with this dance show.
Flora Hon graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring in modern dance. In 2003, Hon was given an award by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in New York at SUNY Purchase College. Hon is a versatile dancer who has participated in various productions. In 2008, she founded Off The Ground with Kelvin Lam and Jo Leung, and they have since staged dance productions such as "Endlessness" and "Core Side Out". Hon was the resident artist of Unlock Dancing Plaza and is currently a jazz funk and modern dance instructor, performer and choreographer. She was recently sponsored by Nike as a full-time dance tutor and dancer.
Kelvin Lam is a graduate of the HKAPA. He is an experienced performer, instructor and choreographer, and was a dancer for celebrities such as Aaron Kwok and Twins in local concerts. Lam has been a dance instructor teaching modern dance, jazz, jazz funk and hip hop at HKAPA, Studiodanz, CCDC Dance Centre and various secondary schools, studios and leading health clubs.
