Performer unable to appear at Cantonese concert

A spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (July 11) that one of the musicians, Man Oi-duen, will not perform at the concert to be held at 8pm tomorrow (July 12) at the Theatre, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, citing personal reasons.

The other three national class one virtuosi, Buk Chan-wing, Yu Qiwei, and Tong Hoi-suen, will perform the well-known solo works, "Going out to Sea", "Monkey Show" and "Thunder in a Drought". They will also play the ensemble masterpieces, "Racing Clouds and Flowing Water", "Intoxicated under the Moon", "A Victorious Return" and "The Toll of the Temple Bell" in the form of "wu jiatou" with the Yin Ngai Opera & Musical Troupe of Hong Kong.

Tickets priced at $120 and $160 are now available at URBTIX outlets. Senior citizens, people with disabilities, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients may have 50% off (limited quotas for students and CSSA recipients on a first-come, first-served basis).
