DanceArt will stage its latest production "Green Dance" next month (January).
"Green Dance" is another exploration into the disoriented and self-denying world of youth, after the intoxicating "Smoke Factory" in 2005. Bodies moving to sensations and passions challenge the audiences, telling those who really love and care about them, "Please take a quiet moment and let yourself feel every pulse of life that forms the link between you and me, at this hour, at this very moment!"
"Green Dance" is choreographed by Andy Wong and Yvette Wong, and performed by Joe Wong, Chow Wai, May Au, Wong Sze-ling, Fok Ka-wing and guest performers Dancing Angels and Hong Kong Youth Dance.
Founded in 1993 by a group of professional dance artists, DanceArt is one of the most prominent professional modern dance companies in Hong Kong. It aims to express concerns about social issues and minority groups through dance, and develop multi-media contemporary art presentations by collaborations between dance and other art forms. The company also actively involves in dance education and voluntary services through organising outreach performances, school touring programmes, dance workshops and dance classes.
"Green Dance" is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. It will be held at 8pm, January 29 (Friday) at the Cultural Activities Hall, Tsuen Wan Town Hall.
