The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is inviting individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations to apply to operate a new round of Arts Corner stalls at Victoria Park. Applications will be open from tomorrow (November 9).

The Arts Corner (Phase 11) will be staged at the South Pavilion Plaza in the park from January 17 to November 28, 2010. The stalls will run from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays. Stall operation will be suspended when major events are being held in the park.

A total of 36 stalls will be operated to sell handicraft or provide arts services. Handicrafts and artworks to be offered include pottery, straw-weaving work, dough models, paper craftwork, carving work, accessories, floral artwork, sand paintings, cloth artwork and clay work. Services to be provided include photography, painting, calligraphy, silhouette cutting and sketching or caricature.

Application forms will be available from tomorrow at the Victoria Park Management Office on Causeway Road, Causeway Bay and the Eastern District Leisure Services Offices, 3/F, Quarry Bay Municipal Services Building, 38 Quarry Bay Street, Hong Kong.

Interested parties should submit completed application forms together with copies of relevant proof of professional knowledge in the respective field (if any) and sample(s) of handicrafts or artwork (not more than three pieces) to the Victoria Park Management Office during office hours. Deadline for submission is 5pm on November 20. The artworks must be the applicant's original works and the handicrafts must be produced by the applicant.

Successful applicants are required to pay a registration fee of $100 and a security deposit of $1,000 for each stall. The security deposit will be forfeited if the stall operation attendance is less than 70% or if the agreement is terminated due to failure to fulfil its terms. Successful applicants are required to effect and keep in force a public liability insurance with an indemnity of not less than $6.5 million during the agreement period.

For enquiries, please call 2890 5824 during office hours.
