Ma On Shan Sports Centre

Introduction

(Ma On Shan Sports Centre will be temporarily closed to support the organisation of the 15th National Games Handball (Men) and to facilitate preparations for the launching of the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games The Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophy Wheelchair Fencing Competition. Details are as follows:

November 11 - December 19 2025 All facilities of the Sports Centre and the adjoining piazza will be temporarily closed

Located at 14 On Chun Street, Ma On Shan, Sha Tin, the Ma On Shan Sports Centre was open to the public on 1 October 2004. Occupying a gross area of 6,390 M2, the Sports Centre is well-equipped with a wide range of leisure facilities for hiring by individuals and organizations. Moreover, various sports and recreation programmes are held in the Sports Centre each month for public participation.

  • 1 multi-purpose arena which can be used as 12 badminton courts / 1 basketball court / 2 volleyball courts / 1 handball court
  • 2 table tennis rooms
  • 1 fitness room of 108 m2
  • 1 dance room of 102 m2(Ancillary facilities: Wall mirrors, dance bars and sound equipment.)
  • 1 multi-purpose activity room of 60 M2 for activities such as dance or yoga(Ancillary facilities: Wall mirrors and sound equipment.) which can be used for Table Tennis Room
  • 2 multi-purpose activity rooms of 112 M2 and 55 M2 respectively for activities such as dance or yoga(Ancillary facilities: Wall mirrors, dance bars and sound equipment.)
  • 1 children's playroom
  • Men's and ladies' toilets cum changing rooms
  • Children's toilet
  • Barrier Free Facilities: Accessible Toilet, Accessible Lift (with Assistive Listening System), Tactile Guide Path, Visual Fire Alarm System, Braille Directory Map/Floor Plan


Maintenance Day

7am to 1pm on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month
(If a maintenance day falls on a public holiday, it will be rescheduled to the next working day.)
