Opening arrangement for heated swimming facilities

To align with the Government’s policies of energy conservation and environmental protection, the commencement date of provision of heated swimming facilities at public swimming pools will be changed to 16 November.  Taking actual public needs into consideration, the LCSD will pay close attention to the 9-day weather forecast of the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) for the period from 1 to 15 November.  If the mean temperature is forecast to be 23 degrees or below for 3 consecutive days or more (temperatures between 23 degrees and 27 degrees are defined as warm by the HKO) during the period, the LCSD will provide heated swimming facilities in due course.
