
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department manages a total of 44 public swimming pool complexes in Hong Kong, of which 9 are on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon and 22 in the New Territories.
Pool water in all public swimming pools is continuously filtered and sterilised throughout the opening hours. The water quality is always closely monitored on the spot as well as by regular laboratory tests.

(i.) Reopening of Public Swimming Pool and Sales of Swimming Pool Monthly Ticket
Thirty-eight public swimming pools reopened gradually from May 12 to 16 and the number of users in swimming pools is limited to 85 per cent of the original capacity. (ii.) Refund Arrangement of Group Hirers or Holders of swimming pool monthly tickets
Group Hirers or Holders of swimming pool monthly tickets wishing to apply for refund of hire charge should complete the application form for refund and submit with the original permit by mail or in person to the respective LCSD District Leisure Services Offices (DLSOs) or pool office concerned as soon as possible. In view of the epidemic situation, fee charging leisure facilities of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department were closed for the public, leading to a surge in the number of applications for refund. We have taken measures to expedite the processing of these applications but still it may take a longer time than usual. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
