Guidance Notes for Payment/Completion of Confirmation Procedures

  1. For places of all competition events (including singles, individual, doubles and team events) allocated through balloting, successful applicants must settle the fee or complete the confirmation procedures within the designated payment/confirmation period through My SmartPLAY App, the SmartPLAY webpage, smart self-service stations or the SmartPLAY service counters. Anyone who fails to do so will be regarded as having withdrawn from the application.
  2. Please go to “My Records” > “My Application” > “Pay for Fee-charging Activity” to settle the fee/complete the confirmation procedures via My SmartPLAY App, the SmartPLAY webpage or smart self-service stations.
  3. The prime applicant shall settle the fee for doubles/team event. The partner is not eligible to do so.
  4. The prime applicant is required to complete the confirmation procedures or settle the fee for the doubles/team event in which he/she and his/her partner are jointly participating. The partner, however, is not required to complete the confirmation procedures or pay for such a doubles/team event.
  5. If the partner of the prime applicant is also allocated a place in a singles event through balloting within the same Competition (only applicable to the competitions of Table Tennis, Tennis and Badminton) after the prime applicant has settled the fee for the doubles event, the partner is required to complete the confirmation procedures for the singles event (no payment needed). Otherwise, relevant confirmation procedures will be deemed incomplete.
  6. If the partner of the prime applicant is also allocated a place in an individual event through balloting of the Tai Chi competition after the prime applicant has settled the fee for the team event, the partner is required to complete the confirmation procedures and settle payment for the individual event. Otherwise, relevant confirmation procedures will be deemed incomplete.
  7. If the partner of the prime applicant is also allocated a place in a singles event through balloting within the same Competition (only applicable to the competitions of Table Tennis, Tennis and Badminton), and has completed the confirmation procedures and settled the fee for such an event before the prime applicant settles the fee for the doubles event, the prime applicant only needs to settle his/her own share of the fee for the doubles event. If the prime applicant is also allocated a place in a singles event through balloting within the Competition, he/she has to complete the confirmation procedures for both the singles and the doubles events, and settle his/her own share of the fee.
  8. The enrolment fee is HKD 20 per person, HKD 40 per team for doubles events and HKD 60 per team for team events (Applicants who are allotted places in both singles and doubles events of Table Tennis, Tennis and Badminton competitions only have to pay the enrolment fee once) (Applicants who are allotted places in both individual and team events of Tai Chi competition must pay the enrolment fees for each event separately.) (concessionary rates apply for persons aged 60 or above, full-time students, or persons with disabilities; possession of valid proof is required). Each applicant should pay the fee according to his/her age on the first day of the competition.
