Notes

  1. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will not accept sponsorship from tobacco and liquor companies.
  2. In case of more than one title sponsor for the same competition, the LCSD will take into account the amount of sponsorship, whether the products/services meet the needs of the event, the business nature, image and integrity of the sponsor in deciding on the sponsorship.
  3. In the event that the interested parties are potential business competitors, the LCSD will inform all the parties concerned and conduct negotiation as early as possible, and reserve the final right to accept or reject any sponsorship.
  4. The order of acknowledgement depends on the level and amount of sponsorship. The amount of sponsorship will be calculated on the basis of the sponsorship in cash first and then the value in kind of products/services. If the amounts of sponsorship are the same, the order of acknowledgement will be determined by the alphabetical order of the first letter in the English name of the companies on the Business Register.
  5. Sponsorships in the form of products/services must be provided in full. The LCSD will not consider sponsorship that provides products/services at a discounted price or cost price.
  6. All sponsorships are subject to the confirmation of acceptance by the LCSD before any arrangement for acknowledgement can be finalised and made. Hence, some of the forms of acknowledgement may not be available if they do not fit in with the rollout schedule of publicity materials or items.
  7. The content of publicity banners provided by the sponsors at their own expense will be subject to the deliberation of the LCSD, and the LCSD has the right to revise the content.
  8. The LCSD shall adjust the size of the publicity banners (suggested size: 3 feet x 8 feet) and designate the locations for their display according to the venue size, set-up and activity arrangements on site. If there are several publicity banners to be displayed at the same time, their locations of display will be allocated by the LCSD based on the criteria specified in item (iv) above.
  9. The LCSD has full discretion to accept or reject any sponsorship.
  10. The LCSD reserves the right to amend the above terms.
