School Sports Programme Award Scheme – 
LCSD Cup

1. Objective:To motivate schools to participate in the School Sports Programme (SSP) and to recognise those demonstrating strong engagement and excellent performance in SSP competitions.
2. Awards:A total of 16 awards will be presented. Trophies will be awarded at the 2027 School Sports Programme Prize Presentation Ceremony cum Carnival to honour schools with the most outstanding performance between 1 September 2026 and 31 May 2027. The awards include:
  • LCSD Cup –Primary School Boys’ Division: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and 3rd Runner-up
  • LCSD Cup –Primary School Girls’ Division: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and 3rd Runner-up
  • LCSD Cup –Secondary School Boys’ Division: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and 3rd Runner-up
  • LCSD Cup –Secondary School Girls’ Division: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and 3rd Runner-up
3. Scoring Period:For the SSP Award Scheme of the 2026/27 school year, scores for the LCSD Cup will be calculated based on the results of specific competitions taking place between 1 September 2026 and 31 May 2027 (i.e. the competitions specified in Item 4 below).
4. Scoring Events:The scoring events include the following competitions taking place between 1 September 2026 and 31 May 2027:
Primary School Boys’ Division and Primary School Girls’ Division
  • Sports Experience Programme - Badminton Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - 3 on 3 Basketball Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - Fencing (Foil) Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - Handball Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - Mini-Squash Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - Mini-Tennis Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - Mini-Volleyball Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - Orienteering Competition
  • Sports Experience Programme - TOUCH Rugby Competition
  • Outreach Coaching Programme - Basketball Competition for Primary Schools
  • Outreach Coaching Programme - Canoe Competition
  • Outreach Coaching Programme - Fencing (Foil) Team Competition
  • Outreach Coaching Programme - Futsal Competition (First Term)
  • Outreach Coaching Programme - Futsal Competition (Second Term)
  • Outreach Coaching Programme - Shuttlecock Competition
  • Outreach Coaching Programme - Squash Team Competition

(Remarks:In the event that a competition is not completed between 1 September 2026 and 31 May 2027, the results obtained in such competition will be counted towards the LCSD Cup scores for the 2027/28 school year.)
