Fun unlimited at arts fun fairs
Arts fun fairs are now open for public enjoyment during the weekend at Kowloon Park, Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park, where various stalls providing a wide array of handicrafts and artistic works such as pottery, carving, dough models, floral artworks and ornaments as well as cultural and arts services in painting, calligraphy, silhouette cutting and photography.

The space lets you connect to art and fuels your creativity, imaginative ideas by opening dialogue with diverse communities. Come and feel Oi! and experiment freely with contemporary art and culture. It showcases infinite possibilities through artworks using various forms of water as theme in its first exhibition “Embark! Beyond the Horizon”. It runs until August 18. |

56th Festival of Sport "Sport for All"
Bank of China (Hong Kong) 56th Festival of Sport is organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and with BOCHK Charitable Foundation being the Title Sponsor, around 80 events will be held from March to June 2013 in various sports venues around Hong Kong to promote ¡§Sport for All¡¨. LCSD implements further measures to improve the booking arrangements for recreation and sports facilities
Four new measures will be introduced with effect from June 18 with a view to improving the booking and allocation of recreation and sports facilities further and curbing touting activities. These include the shortening of the advanced booking period of recreational and sports facilities by individual hirers from the current 30 days to 10 days; the implementation of a six-month trial scheme during which the “stand-by” arrangement at football pitches will be cancelled; the reduction of the reallocation period offered to hirers who could not use the booked facilities due to inclement weather from 60 days to 15 days; and the cancellation of bookings of sports facilities by "minders of a disabled person" using concessionary rates. |
