The Tai Po Civic Centre (TPCC) has been comprehensively upgraded. Please come on 10 January 2026 (Saturday) for string ensemble performance, street dance show, creative workshops, backstage tour, and guided walk highlighting new architectural features. Let us explore the new arts and cultural landmark of Tai Po, express our love and care for its community through performing arts, and create a brighter future for Tai Po.

Auditorium Music Office — Hong Kong Youth Strings A Taste of Classical Favourites 3pm - 4pm Free Admission By Ticket The Hong Kong Youth Strings will present a concert titled ‘A Taste of Classical Favourites’ featuring classic Chinese and Western string works to give the audience a taste of the charm of different cultures and traditions through music. |

Tai Po Civic Centre Backstage Tour 4:30pm - 5pm Free Admission By Ticket Quota: 50 The backstage tour will give you a chance to explore the brand new facilities and behind-the-scenes secrets of the TPCC, and unveil the mysteries behind the stage.

Black Box Theatre Toolbox Percussion Percussion Demonstration 3pm – 4pm Free Admission By Ticket
Percussion Workshop 4pm – 5pm Free Admission By Ticket Quota: 30 Local percussionists will be invited to give a wonderful percussion performance, and host interactive workshops to give the audience a feel of the charm and fun of percussion music through improvisation at a musical feast full of rhythm and energy. |

Function Room 2 Tai Po Civic Centre Architectural Features Sharing Session & Guided Tour 4:30pm – 5pm Free Admission by Ticket Quota: 50 This guided tour will guide you through an appreciation of the architectural details and features of the TPCC, and show you the beauty of the architecture and the creativity behind it. Through sharing and guided appreciation, you will gain a deeper insight into the design philosophy and architectural significance of the TPCC.

Outdoor Area Mamamia Face Painting HK Body and Face Painting Booth 2:30pm – 4:30pm The body and face painting booth will make the Open Day more colourful by giving participants a unique body and face painting on the theme of performing arts. |

Flow Space Arts Studio Cyr wheel and Veil Poi Demonstration 3:30pm – 4:30pm The graceful Cyr wheel and veil poi performance will lead you to the outdoor space of the TPCC and demonstrate a perfect fusion of space and dance. |

Programme Arrangements
Best for ages 3 and above for all programmes.
Arrangements for all performances and fringe activities:
- Free admission by ticket with free seating. Limited places available on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Tickets will be distributed at the Information Counter of Tai Po Civic Centre from 12 noon on the day of the activity.
- Each person is allowed up to two tickets for each activity.
- Quota for each session of fringe activities: 50 persons for backstage tour, 30 persons for percussion workshop, 50 persons for dance workshop and 50 persons for architectural features sharing session and guided tour.
- Reserved places will be allocated to others if the ticket holders fail to show up within 10 minutes after the activities have started.
- In the event of any dispute regarding ticket distribution and seating arrangements, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department’s decision shall be final and conclusive.
