Beehive Garden

Stacks of small hexagonal compartments form a cozy beehive-like home, symbolising community connectedness, interpersonal bonding, and the organic beauty of nature. Each module offers a distinct experience—a reading corner, a quiet resting space, or an elevated rooftop micro-garden blooming with colour.

In this plot bees and butterflies dance among lush greenery and flowering shrubs. The picturesque scenery is reflected in the mirror-like pond. Strolling along the winding stone path flanked by vegetation of varying heights, one feels as if walking through a natural meadow.

Together, the architecture and landscape celebrate the harmonious beauty of nature, extending an invitation to all to visit this beehive-like leisure space brimming with life, colour and creativity.

Where Light Meets Shadow

This plot is a place where times converge. At one end lie the former paddy fields and village churches, at the other rises a futuristic plaza with its streamlined profile. Inside the aged white chapel, sunlight filters through the stained-glass windows, casting motley patterns on the floor. Along the river, the breeze rustles through stretches of newly planted purple sage, creating waves of colour.

It’s here that past and present, light and shadow intertwine: the long slanting shadows of the old church meet the shimmering reflections of the water, silently blessing the couples drawn here to wander amid the spring flowers.

The Land of Windmills

This plot design blends the rustic charm of Dutch wooden windmill houses with the scenery of a natural river valley, creating a European pastoral landscape where nature and everyday life exist in harmonious balance.

The visual focus of the garden area is anchored by the windmill house, water wheel, and meandering stream, complemented by the use of natural timber elements and floral arrangements displayed in a wooden boat. Together, these elements depict a quaint riverside village brimming with quiet vitality. Stock and other seasonal flowers are arranged against a stone path, a small bridge, and raw timber installations to form a richly layered garden scene. As dusk falls, soft lighting gradually illuminates the plot, revealing a different yet equally captivating atmosphere.

The windmills and water wheels do more than reflect the traditional wisdom of European villages in harnessing wind and water for daily life. They also symbolise the sustainable cycle of renewable energy, adding deeper meaning and educational value to the plot.

The Reborn Garden: Where Industry Meets Eden

We present an urban Eden, a sustainable oasis that breathes new life into the industrial legacy.

Here, a repurposed shipping container transforms into a cozy café, nestled within a garden where waste gets a second chance. Rusty metal sculptures dance with climbing roses. Reclaimed railway sleepers, once bearing trains, now bear footsteps. Succulents sprout from old pallets, while a living wall with a cascading waterfall softens the industrial core.

This is more than a garden; it is a dialogue between steel and soil, where function blossoms into beauty. An aquaponics system grows fresh herbs, symbolising a closed-loop future. We invite you to enjoy a cup of coffee, sway on a swing sofa made from salvaged wood, and experience a truly sustainable blend of European charm and Hong Kong heritage.

Pottinger Street (Stone Slab Street)

For people who have lived in Hong Kong, this plot offers a collective trip down memory lane. Greeting the visitor at the entrance is a winding path paved with uneven flagstones, reminiscent of Pottinger Street, better known as Stone Slab Street. Each stone, polished by countless footsteps over time, bears witness to the transformation of Hong Kong across more than a century. Parked on one side of the stone path is a nostalgic tramcar surrounded by lush native vegetation and stock flowers swaying gently in the breeze. Stopping by and taking a good look, one can almost hear the characteristic “ding, ding” of a tram passing by, and the hurried footfalls of sedan chair bearers over the stone steps. At the turn of the head, one can see the cluster of skyscrapers on the skyline, with throngs moving among them. The small fishing port of yesteryear, once dotted with bobbing sampans, has long since morphed into the resplendent Pearl of the Orient.

Japanese Splendour of the Seasons

Like a mild morning breeze, this Japanese garden softly repels the noise and chaos of the city. Stone steps on a small gravel path take visitors to a pavilion shaded by bamboo. Water features constitute the essence of this plot—flowing water cascades down into meandering channels before settling into a pond, where ripples spread and a touch of coolness lingers in the air. A change in the season is heralded by a luminous display of pink and white cherry blossoms, while evergreens offer a stabilizing green canvas for this palette.

With the breeze rustling through the eaves, water babbling down its course, and subtle floral fragrance wafting in the air, this plot is like white space in the scroll of urban life, inviting visitors to slow down for a moment to enjoy the peace.

Mysterious Cavern

This plot, crafted in the distinctive volcanic cave style, serves as a time portal that teleports visitors to the surreal landscape of Cappadocia, a natural and cultural World Heritage site in Turkey. Its design is inspired by the opulence of mosaic art, using vibrant flowers to weave a magnificent floral tapestry of geometric patterns. The fragrance of stock blossoms permeates the air, evoking a sense of nature’s mystery and grandeur. Overhead, several hot air balloons hover as if inviting visitors to embark on a journey along the border of Europe and Asia and experience the exotic charm of a land full of colour and fragrance.

Spring in a Huizhou Garden

Using Hui-style architecture as its framework, this plot recreates classic elements of ancient Huizhou, such as white walls and black tiles, staggered horse-head walls, and distinctive stone, brick, and wood carvings. A vase shape gate frames the view that leads deeper into the plot, where a pavilion overlooks a brook flowing past the Taihu rocks. A subtle fragrance pervades the courtyard, where stock, the theme flower of this year’s Flower Show, is artfully arranged among a selection of traditional Chinese flowers and aromatic plants. Within a compact setting, the design captures the essence of an elegant private Huizhou garden, beautifully extending the 2026 Hong Kong Flower Show theme of “A Fragrant Journey through Hong Kong”.

Fragrant Valley

Blending Eastern sensibilities with modern aesthetics, this plot is richly planted with seasonal scented blooms. As visitors stroll along a pathway thoughtfully designed for the appreciation of fragrance, they seem to enter a secluded realm of perfume, where each step reveals a subtle shift in scent. More than a place for flower viewing, Fragrant Valley is an Eastern sanctuary where body and mind may find repose. Here, where time slows and flower shadows sway, the diversity and abundance of life are felt amidst delicate, drifting aromas. These fragrances do not merely linger in the air, but also settle softly in memory and within the heart.

Dazzling Hong Kong

This plot is inspired by the streetscape of old Hong Kong. Its architecture emulates the style of the traditional tong lau tenement buildings, complemented by metal grille of various geometric patterns and a “shop in front, residence at the back” layout. This familiar scene reflects the ingenuity and practical wisdom of Hong Kong people.

The nightscape of Hong Kong comes to life under dazzling neon lights. In the shadows, stocks bloom profusely in silent resplendence, much like the countless ordinary yet resilient individuals in this city, who quietly bloom in their own way amid the bustle and clamour.
