This year, together with the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, the Hong Kong intangible cultural heritage exhibition “Hands that Bloom” will be held on the Central Lawn, showcasing traditional craftsmanship. Visitors will feel as if they have stepped into a spring garden, where they are surrounded by exquisitely crafted paper floral lanterns, with a rabbit figure sipping Hong Kong-style milk tea nestled among the blooms. Through these traditional handmade pieces, the paper crafting technique subtly blossoms amid the sea of flowers. The "Mobile Intangible Cultural Heritage" bus (Mobile ICH), funded by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Funding Scheme and organised by the Hong Kong Resource Centre for Heritage, will be visiting the Flower Show venue! Focusing on festive events, Mobile ICH incorporates learning into fun games through specially-designed exhibitions, interactive devices and activities. It will introduce to you the rich content of Hong Kong’s intangible cultural heritage including languages, music, performing arts, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe, festive events, customs and craftsmanship covering various aspects of our daily lives.
