Guided Tour Service

The Government has revitalised Yau Ma Tei Theatre (Grade 2 historic building) and Red Brick Building (Grade 1 historic building) as a performance venue designated for Chinese opera, in particular Cantonese opera and related activities. The external appearances, as well as some of the structural elements and architectural features of the original buildings are carefully retained, allowing the public to reminisce about the stories of these historic buildings while enjoying performances in the theatre. A guided tour is offered to lead you through exterior area of the two historic buildings for a better understanding of their history, architectural features and the interesting findings behind the revitalisation project by the participants of the Yau Ma Tei Theatre Docent Scheme.
