Hong Kong Flower Show web banner

The Hong Kong Flower Show, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), is an annual flagship event that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors and over 200 horticultural organisations from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and overseas.  Dozens of exhibitors from around the world are brought together to present their masterworks, from delicate potted plants to spectacular landscaped gardens, inviting visitors into a splendid floral world.  With a turnout of hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, it is an unmissable floral spectacle in the heart of the city.

On the joyous occasion of the 30th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the Motherland, this year’s Flower Show presents the China Rose as its theme flower under the theme “Blossoming Through Time”, featuring a grand celebration of this momentous milestone.  Held in high esteem in Chinese culture, the China Rose is admired for its undaunted vitality and year-round blooms.  Its resilient beauty mirrors Hong Kong’s unique journey through the tides of time, always forging ahead with determination and perseverance.  Amidst a resplendent sea of flowers and landscape displays that interweave the city’s historical imprint, the Flower Show guides visitors through Hong Kong’s remarkable growth and transformation, inviting everyone to savour the passage of time, share the joy of reunification, and embrace a bright and promising future.

With its diverse lineup, the Flower Show makes for the perfect family day out.  A rich diversity of educational and recreational activities will run throughout the Show, including a student drawing competition, a photo competition, a plant exhibit competition, music and cultural performances, floral art demonstrations, greening workshops, guided tours, recreational programmes, and family-friendly games.  There will also be commercial stalls selling flowers, gardening items, photographic equipment, books, handicrafts, fast food and beverages.
