Indoor Leisure Facilities

Badminton courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, netball courts, volleyball courts, squash courts, table tennis tables, American pool tables, billiard tables, sport climbing walls, bowling greens, golf facilities, fitness rooms, activity rooms, dance rooms and a cycling track

Outdoor Leisure Facilities

Tennis courts, tennis practice courts, bowling greens, batting cages, archery ranges and golf facilities
(excluding camp facilities, sports grounds, as well as artificial and natural turf pitches)

Public Swimming Pools

(excluding Wan Chai Swimming Pool and Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool, which is temporarily closed for redevelopment)

Crafts at Water Sports Centres

(recreational kayaks, pedal-driven boats, sampans and colour boats at Chong Hing Water Sports Centre are available for free use by campers only).

 

Booking Method

The free-of-charge sessions Note 1 for August 3 will be allocated through balloting. From July 17 to 23, members of the public can make ballot applications on SmartPLAY as individual users. Each application can include up to three balloting choices of sessions. Any applicant wishing to change the choices in his/her application made can do so on via SmartPLAY before the closing time at 11.59pm on July 23. The computer balloting results will be announced on July 26. Successful applicants will be notified by the SmartPLAY system. Any remaining sessions will be open for application via website (www.smartplay.lcsd.gov.hk/home) (from 7am) and mobile app (My SmartPLAY) (from 7am), Smart Self-service Stations (from 7.15am) or booking counters (from 7.15am) at major leisure venues on a first-come, first-served basis from July 28 to members of the public not having been allocated any free session by ballot or not having made any application. (the services counter at at Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre will start from 7:45am while water sports centres and holiday camps will start from 8.30am).

Each successful applicant will be allocated one free sessionNote 2, whether through balloting or first-come, first-served booking.

Note 1

No prior booking is required for public swimming pool facilities. Members of the public may line up at the entrances of swimming pools before the start of a session. Free admission is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note 2

Each session lasts one hour except for the following: half an hour per session for squash courts; one-and-a-half hour sessions for all archery range and three-hour sessions for the crafts at the water sports centres.
