Free Use of Leisure Facilities & Booking Method

Members of the public can make bookings via the Leisure Link booking counters at LCSD venues (excluding Self-service Kiosks) and Internet booking from 7am on July 31 (Monday) onwards, on a first-come, first-served basis, for the free use on August 6 of the available leisure facilities (the Leisure Link booking counter services at Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre will start from 7.45am, and those at water sports centres, holiday camps and District Leisure Services Offices will start from 8.30am).

Leisure Facilities Available for Free Use

Indoor Leisure Facilities

Badminton courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, netball courts, volleyball courts, squash courts, table tennis tables, American pool tables, billiard tables, sport climbing walls, bowling greens, golf facilities, fitness rooms, activity rooms, dance rooms and a cycling track

Outdoor Leisure Facilities

Tennis courts, tennis practice courts, bowling greens, batting cages, sport climbing walls, archery ranges and golf facilities
(excluding camp facilities, sports grounds, artificial and natural turf pitches)

Public Swimming Pools

Excluding Wan Chai Swimming Pool, and Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool which is temporarily closed for redevelopment

Craft of Water Sports Centres

Recreational kayaks, pedal-driven boats, sampans and colour boats at Chong Hing Water Sports Centre are available for free use by campers only

 

Booking Method

Starting from 7:00 am on 31 July (Monday), bookings for the free use of the available leisure facilitiesNote 1on 6 August (Sunday) can be made at the Leisure Link booking counters at the venues of the LCSD in various districts and Internet booking (excluding Self-service Kiosks).

Individual members of the public may book the available leisure facilities for use free of charge on a first-come-first-served basis. Each person may book only one session Note 2for any one type of facility. When making a booking, a hirer is required to produce his/her identity document (e.g. identity card) and recognised proof of qualification (if necessary). If the booking is made by a representative, a copy of the above documents of the hirer should be produced. When there are other people waiting for service at the counter, each person may only make one booking each time. When hirers cancel their bookings of leisure facilities available for free use during The Sport For All Day--Free Use of Leisure Facilities on 6 August through various Leisure Link booking channels including the booking counters, Internet or self-service kiosks, the cancelled sessions will not be made available for booking immediately through the Leisure Link System. The cancelled sessions will be posted on the LCSD website at 1:00 a.m. on the following day after cancellation and be available for booking from 7 a.m. on the same day through the Leisure Link booking counters and Internet booking on a first-come-first-served basis.

Note 1

Prior booking is not required for public swimming pools. Members of the public may line up at the entrance of swimming pools before the start of a session. Free admission is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Note 2

Each session lasts one hour except for the following: half an hour per session for squash courts and tennis practice courts in the urban districts; one-and-a-half hour sessions for all archery range; two-hour sessions for cycling track (shared use session) at Hong Kong Velodrome and three-hour sessions for the crafts at the water sports centres(between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m).
