Introduction

Yuen Long Park, which has an area of 7.5 hectares, opened to the public in spring 1991 after two years of construction.

The park is located on a natural woodland at Shui Ngau Leng, adjacent to Shui Pin Tsuen and southwest of Yuen Long town centre, with Yuen Long Stadium and Yuen Long Swimming Pool in its vicinity.

Built on a hill, the park has preserved as much as possible the original landform and trees to present a beautiful picture.  There are more than 1000 trees scattered around in the park.  At the top of the hill is a pagoda with its lowest level serving as an aviary and the upper levels as a lookout offering a panoramic view of Yuen Long Town and Tin Shui Wai New Town.  There is also an exquisite ravine garden with a small footbridge and a stream as well as an artificial lake and a waterfall, where visitors can relax and have a good time.  Other facilities in the park include a turfed gateball court, hard-surface soccer pitches, a children's playground, a fitness trail and a fountain plaza.  All in all, the park is a good place to enjoy and have fun.
