|Concert Hall||On 13 October 2020 (Tuesday), a Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) musician preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. The HK Phil has informed the Centre for Health Protection (CHP), the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and relevant working partners about the situation. Arrangement has been made with the CHP to send the concerned orchestral members to stay at the quarantine centres and backstage staff to undergo testing. The HK Phil offices are temporarily closed and have been disinfected.
As a precautionary measure, the following HK Phil performances of Beethoven Festival will be cancelled, including:
16 October (8pm): Francois-Frederic Guy | Beethoven Piano Concerto Cycle Nos. 2, 3 & 4;
17 October (8pm): Francois-Frederic Guy | Beethoven Piano Concerto Cycle Nos. 1 & 5;
23 October (8pm): JAAP | Beethoven 7 & 8;
24 October (8pm): JAAP | Beethoven 2 & 5.

Major facilities of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre including the Grand Theatre and Studio Theatre have been reopened for performances or activities with live audiences and with special seating arrangements. The number of audience members will be limited to half of the original capacity. Consecutive seats will be limited to four. The Concert Hall and its minor facilities will stay closed and reopen on 25 October. Other minor facilities of the Grand Theatre such as rehearsal rooms and practice rooms, and function rooms at Level 4, Administration Building, are limited to half of the original capacity. Audience are required to put on their own masks upon entry and throughout the performance. No ceremony is allowed in the exhibition facilities. Visitor flows in exhibition facilities are limited by arranging quotas. Children under 12 are only allowed to enter exhibition facilities when accompanied by an adult. All hiring activities open to the public at outdoor facilities remain suspended.

The opening hours of the URBTIX outlet at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre are as follows:
Sunday – Thursday (from 10am to 6:30pm daily or 30 minutes after commencement of URBTIX performance at the venue)
Friday – Saturday (from 10am to 8pm daily or 30 minutes after commencement of URBTIX performance at the venue)
Ticket dispensing machines will be operated during the opening hours of the venue.
Ticket holders of cancelled events are advised to contact the respective event organisers or check their latest announcements on refund arrangements. Ticket refund service is available for events presented/sponsored by the LCSD which have been cancelled due to venue closure arising from the pandemic and some organisers that choose to arrange refunds at URBTIX outlets.
