Rules of Competitions

(1) Participants must report to the staff of the event 15 minutes before the scheduled time for the first event.  They must produce the following valid original identity documents for verification of their names.  If a participant fails to produce the above identification document or the personal particulars shown on the identification document are found to be inconsistent with those on the enrolment form, he/she will not be allowed to take part in the competition.  The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify such a participant, while his/her enrolment fee will not be refunded.  The participant in question should not have objection.


Hong Kong residents

1. Original copy of HKID cards
2. For children aged between 11 to 14: HKID cards (original/copy)
3. For children below aged 11: HKID cards/Birth Certificate/Document of Identity for Visa Purposes/HKSAR Re-entry Permit/One-way Permit (original/copy). If the identity documents used are without a photograph, they will be required to present, for verification, the original of a valid photograph-bearing student card/ student handbook.

Non-Hong Kong residents
Original copy of valid travel document used at the time of enrollment.(e.g. Passport, Exit Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao)

Remark: The Student Registration Card of Hong Kong School Sports Federation and the player card of the national sports associations or sport organisations are not accepted.

(2) Participants must arrive at the competition area at the scheduled time and report to the staff of the Organiser.  Participants failing to report within the first 5 minutes of the specified time for the competition will be regarded as having waived their right to participate in the competition.
(3) Participants must observe the rules of the golf driving range and practice green of the Tuen Mun Golf Centre.
(4) Participants must finish the games within the time limit during the competition.
(5) Participants will not allowed to accept “advice” from others once having entered the competition area. “Advice” means any hints given which may affect the participants’ judgement such as the choice of clubs, alignment and ball flight direction etc.
(6) Non-participants are not allowed to enter the competition area to avoid causing disturbance to participants.
(7) Silence should be kept when the competition is in progress.
(8) Participants may choose to use the rubber tees provided by the Organiser for Event A “Target Distance”..
(9) Participants may drive one trial ball before formal competitions for Event A “Target Distance”. Such a trial ball will not be provided for Event B “Long Distance Putting Contest”.
(10) Ready ball accidentally moved by the participant’s club before stroke will be counted as ball of the event. Air shot will also be counted as ball of the event during the competition.
(11) Except those stipulated in this prospectus, all of the rules and regulations currently adopted by “The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland” and “The United States Golf Association” will be applied.
(12) There is no appeal mechanism for this competition. The decision of the judge on the site will be final and binding.
(13) The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who is in breach of the rules and regulations or engages in unbecoming conduct that may affect the conduct of the competition. The fee paid will not be refunded and the results achieved by the participant will be declared void.
(14) Participants should take care of their personal belongings.
