Archery Range

Ngau Chi Wan Park Archery Range, occupying an area of 5500 square metres, is situated on the Eastern Platform of the Park. The Archery Range can be set up with a shooting distance of up to 90 metres. Archery training courses and competitions are regularly organised for public participation.

Every Monday * and
from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm and 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm on all opening days
* If the weekly Maintenance Day falls on a public holiday, the Archery Range will be open as usual and the venue maintenance day will be rescheduled for the next working day.

 

Booking of the Archery Range

Groups or individuals applying for the use of the Archery Range must be able to provide qualified coaches to supervise the activities. All qualified coaches must hold recognised and valid archery coach certificates issued by the relevant national sports associations.

Remarks 1: Facilities in Ngau Chi Wan Park Archery Range will be closed on the issue of rainstorm red/ black warning or tropical cyclone signal No. 3, or due to inclement weather or any unforeseen circumstances, or at the discretion of the management when, in its opinion that the facilities are unsuitable for use from safety or operational point of view.
Remarks 2: Concessionary rates are applicable to schools, subvented non-governmental organisations, full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above, and persons with disabilities and their accompanying carers (each person may enjoy the concessionary rates with one accompanying carers only). Persons with disabilities and their accompanying carers may enjoy the concessionary rates at all sessions, while other eligible persons may enjoy the concessionary rates for using most of the land-based recreation and sports facilities during non-peak hours. In order to use the facilities at a concessionary rate, the hirer and all his/her partner(s) must be eligible users.

Hirers/users enjoying the concessionary rates may be requested to produce their valid identification documents (e.g. identity cards, Senior Citizen Cards issued by the Social Welfare Department, student cards or Registration Cards for Persons with Disabilities) before booking and using the land-based recreation and sports facilities as well as during the booked session(s).

Full-time students must produce identification documents, including but not limited to their valid student cards, student handbooks or relevant documents provided/issued by their schools for verification of identity. Personalised Octopus Cards with student status will not be accepted as documentary proof of their student status. If the validity period is not specified on the student card, the venue staff on duty reserve the right to request the student concerned to provide other evidence to prove his/her student status.
Remarks 3: Hires are required to summit signed and sealed target setting plan to the hired venue either by e-mail or by fax 7 days prior to the date of use.

The peak and non-peak hours for using land-based recreation and sports facilities in the urban area are as follows:
Non-Peak Hour Monday to Friday From opening time to 6 pm (except General Holidays)
Peak Hour Monday to Friday 6 pm to 11 pm ; and
Whole day on Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
