Booking Method

Booking for the free use of facilitiesNote 1 on October 1 can be made at Leisure Link booking counters in various districts (except self-service kiosks) and via Internet booking from 7am on September 25 (Monday) onwards, on a first-come, first-served basis (the Leisure Link booking counter services at Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre will start from 7:45am while water sports centres, holiday camps and District Leisure Services Offices will start from 8.30am).

Individual members of the public may book the available leisure facilities for use free of charge on a first-come-first-served basis. Each person may book only one sessionNote 2 irrespective of the type of leisure facility. Due to the anticipated high use of online booking services by the public, it may take a longer time for users to log into the system for booking during peak hours in the morning.

When making a booking, a hirer is required to produce his/her identity document (e.g. identity card) and recognised proof of qualification (if necessary). If the booking is made by a representative, a copy of the above documents of the hirer should be produced. When there are other people waiting for service at the counter, each person may only make one booking each time. When hirers cancel their bookings of leisure facilities available for free use during Free Use of Leisure Facilities on 1 October through various Leisure Link booking channels including the booking counters, Internet or self-service kiosks, the cancelled sessions will not be made available for booking immediately through the Leisure Link System. The cancelled sessions will be posted on the LCSD website at 1:00 a.m. on the following day after cancellation and be available for booking from 7 a.m. on the same day through the Leisure Link booking counters and Internet booking on a first-come-first-served basis.

Note 1

Prior booking is not required for public swimming pools. Members of the public may line up at the entrance of swimming pools before the start of a session. Free admission is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Note 2

Each session lasts one hour except for the following: half an hour per session for squash courts and tennis practice courts in the urban districts; one-and-a-half hour sessions for all archery range; two-hour sessions for cycling track (shared use session) at Hong Kong Velodrome and three-hour sessions for the crafts at the water sports centres(between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m).
